Genesis Developments WA has evolved out of our flagship company, Genesis Constructions. With our roots in design and construction, we took on new builds as well as high level additions and renovations. After 25 years, we realised Genesis Developments WA was the natural next step in the Genesis story.
Now, we exclusively focus on property development — particularly complex projects. Leveraging decades of experience in the construction industry, where we developed an outstanding reputation, we’re pleased to offer our partners unique insights, strategies, and expertise when it comes to property development investments.

Involved in the construction industry from an early age, I discovered the joys of being able to create something that people could live in that would last for many years. Although I received awards in recognition of quality, it was a case of lots of effort to create what was nothing more than a "really good salary". So, I did some research and discovered a real estate model I could replicate.
Only, something wasn't right. When the GFC came, I was holding a few “up market” properties that were terribly negatively geared, and at the same time construction revenue was falling with no end in sight...
I realised I had to sell my “unsustainable upmarket” properties or they would drag me down. I spent a significant amount of time learning from others and was able to get back into the developing world — this time, in a sustainable way. The sustainability is not only beneficial to myself, but my clients as well. I now find myself with the ability to connect people with dormant funds and others with underutilised real estate to provide empowering financial outcomes for all of us.

With a great interest in macroeconomics and interconnected systems, and seeing the downside of holding negatively geared properties during the GFC, I discovered my passion for financial markets in 2013. Through diligent study, while working as an electrical diagnostics technician for Volkswagen, then as a humanitarian assistance and disaster relief (HADR) research analyst, I was able to generate excellent returns through Foreign Exchange trading.
However, after five years of Foreign Exchange trading, I found that while I was capable of generating excellent monthly returns, the unsustainably high time cost involved in the process meant I could only do so sporadically while also working as a HADR analyst.
In 2019, after attending a real estate development course, and seeing the greater opportunities coupled with less demanding time cost involved in property, I shifted from Foreign Exchange trading to work with my father in real estate developments. With his extensive construction experience and my analytical and creative problem-solving skills, we work with others who have underutilised land or dormant funds to create mutually financially empowering outcomes via real estate development.
